
Traeger Induction Top Fried Shrimp

We coat it with a light breading that has been seasoned with our Rock's Anytime and Smashville spice blends, creating a bomb flavor pairing. Using our Traeger Timberline XL induction top, we've found that the crispy exterior balances wonderfully with our spice blends to bring out the natural sweetness of the shrimp.Whether you need an appetizer or a main course, this recipe is guaranteed to leave a lasting impression on friends and family. Ingredients
Shrimp
- 1 package Frederik's Raw Shrimp 20/30 Peeled & Deveined, Tail-Off
- 1 gal Peanut Oil
Breading Mix
- 4 tbsp Rock's Anytime Spice Blend
- 2 tbsp Rock's Smashville Spice Blend
- 1 Cups Pamela's Flour Gluten Free Artisan Blend
- 1 tbsp Agro Corn Starch
Wet Dredge
- 1 whole Egg
- 1 Cup Milk
- 1 tbsp Rock's Smashville Spice Blend
Instructions
- To achieve a temperature of 350º, use an induction top on your Traeger Timberline XL to heat up peanut oil in a cast iron kettle.1 gal Peanut Oil
- Prepare the breading mixture by incorporating 2 cups flour, 1 tbsp corn starch, 1/3 cup of Rock's Anytime & 1 tbsp Rock's Smashville4 tbsp Rock's Anytime Spice Blend, 2 tbsp Rock's Smashville Spice Blend, 1 Cups Pamela's Flour Gluten Free Artisan Blend, 1 tbsp Agro Corn Starch
- To prepare a wet dredge, mix together beaten egg and milk until they are fully combined. This mixture can then be used to coat various foods before they are fried or baked, resulting in a crispy and flavorful outer layer. To kick up the spice add 1 tbsp of our Rock's Smashville spice blend1 whole Egg, 1 Cup Milk, 1 tbsp Rock's Smashville Spice Blend
- To prepare the shrimp, first, dip it into the breading mixture and ensure that it is thoroughly coated with the mix. Next, dunk it into the wet dredge to coat it evenly and thoroughly. Lastly, return the shrimp to the breading mixture and coat it again to achieve optimal coverage. You now have some perfectly coated and seasoned shrimp ready to be cooked to perfection.1 package Frederik's Raw Shrimp
- Carefully place the shrimp that has been coated in batter into the oil that has been heated to a temperature of 350º
- To achieve a crispy and golden brown texture, we recommend deep frying for about 1-2 minutes. Once cooked to perfection, carefully remove the food from the hot oil using a wire strainer to avoid any potential burns or oil splatters.
- Once these deliciously crispy, golden brown shrimp have cooled slightly, you can choose to serve it as a delectable appetizer or combine it with juicy cuts of steak for a surf and turf meal.
